Product Information

DakotaPURE™ is Pacer Corporation’s highly pure muscovite mica mineral family of products which possess an outstanding combination of mechanical, physical, chemical, electrical and thermal properties which are rarely found in other products. DakotaPURE™ is a translucent mica which is gray/silver in color and is free of asbestos and non-asbestos fibrous materials.  Pacer’s mica chemistry, geology and reserves information is available in the menu to the left.

DakotaPURE™ is produced in 70-600 mesh products and is used as a mineral filler in caulks, sealants, adhesives, powder coatings, concrete, mortars, joint compound and paints as it enhances weatherability, provides barrier protection and increases chemical resistance. It can be used in a variety of plastic polymer applications to improve stiffness, increase tensile and flexural properties and improve heat distortion temperature. It is also used extensively for sound dampening applications. DakotaPURE™ ‘s unique combination of electrical properties also makes it a superior insulator.   Mica Technical Properties .
