  • Inert except to hydrofluroic and concentrated sulfuric acids
  • pH 8.0
  • Not water soluble

Mechanical Properties

  • Highly flexible, Resilient flakes
  • Tensile Strength – 40,000 psi
  • Low oil absorption
  • High delectric strength

Optical Properties

  • Translucent
  • UV Opaque – below 350nm

Environmental Properties

  • No asbestos or asbestos-form materials
  • No hazardous levels of heavy metal

Thermal Properties

  • Non-reactive to 800 degrees C
  • Non-flammable
  • Low coefficient of Expansion
  • A “Super Insulator”
